Creating Enriching Math and Science Learning Opportunities for Young Children

Complete Attendance

Participants of this workshop will discuss the importance of learning mathematics and science in the early years. They will identify teaching strategies and curricula that are effective in helping young children develop mathematical and science concepts. Participants will also examine and analyze appropriate math and science materials for young children and practice the skill of inquiry to promote thinking during math and science. Participants will also learn how to organize a math and science learning environment for young children. Finally, they will get an opportunity to create appropriate math and science lessons for young children by using the prekindergarten guidelines.
