The Role that Faculty Play in an Online CBE Course IN PERSON

The BAS-Organizational Leadership program was the first bachelor Competency-Based Education (CBE) program at South Texas College. Since its inception in 2015, the program has graduated over 1,600 students and this is due to faculty who are highly engaged in their CBE courses. This session will discuss how CBE functions, the role that faculty play, and best practices for a successful course. Some of the best practices include on-boarding, communication, grading, and substantive feedback. If you are looking to teach a CBE online course or just simply want to learn what all the buzz is all about regarding CBE, then this is the session for you.
