Designing Purposeful ECSE Classrooms.

An effective ECSE classroom is intentionally designed to support communication, independence, engagement, and positive behavior throughout the entire school day. In this session, participants will explore practical strategies for creating structured classroom environments that meet the unique needs of early childhood learners with disabilities. Topics will include classroom layout, visual supports, schedules and routines, communication systems, behavior supports, instructional stations, independent work systems, and play-based learning opportunities. Participants will leave with ready-to-use ideas and tools to help create calm, predictable, and purposeful classrooms that support student success.
