This session will provide support for students with dyslexia, language barriers, and other cognitive difficulties when language and complexities of math seems impossible. Our presentation will focus on teaching techniques founded in research to support student success in math, while explicitly teaching the language, using multi-sensory approach, and directly addressing retention. Our audience will also review the latest research on teaching word problems and instructional math processes. With the easy-to-implement strategies, all participants will leave this session and take tools to help students overcome the challenges faced in the area of math.
