Elementary Kindergarten - 5th Grade Gifted and Talented (GT) Referral and Identification Process MAKE-UP Training

This session is designed for all elementary teachers to review the 2026–2027 Gifted and Talented (GT) Referral and Identification Process, including key timelines, procedures, and expectations.

During the session, participants will:

Review the GT Referral and Identification timeline and key campus responsibilities.
Review the Kingore Observation Inventory (KOI) and procedures for documenting observations and submitting the final inventory digitally.
Review the Student Academic Portfolio, including Planned Experiences and Collected Works, and associated procedures and scoring expectations.
Review procedures for GT referral meetings and Cognitive Abilities Test (CogAT) administration.
