AAC in the IEP, on the Campus, and in the Classroom

Complete Attendance not available before workshop starts.

Goals: 1) differentiate communication levels for Symbol Speakers (those who communicate via some form of augmentative communication) as emergent, developing language, independent communicators. 2) discriminate between accommodations and modifications related to AAC in the classroom. 3) explore the role of vocabulary on the instructional methods of referential teaching and descriptive teaching. 4) determine a personal plan to develop one's own proficiency with students' individual AAC systems/speech generating devices.
