Ready, Set, LEGO! ECISD Robotics

The professional development session will consist of overview of ECISD Robotics program, competitions for the year including calendar and supplies and materials needed. Participants will be provided with an opportunity to build a robot using LEGO’s spike or spike essential elements that will perform certain tasks. New sponsors will be able to walk away with ideas on how to implement a continuing or new robotics program at their campus. Participants will also have an opportunity to go over CODER Z platform that will be used during the first semester. An overview of the ECISD robotics handbook, calendar of activities, budget accounts for travel and materials will be provided. Sponsors will work to create programming experiences that are developmentally appropriate at elementary and middle school. Sponsors will be provided step-by-step process of creating web travels and PO requisitions as well as how to develop an expenditure ledger for provided robotics accounts.
