Game On! Implementing ECISD E-Sports Program

Complete Attendance not available before workshop starts.

The ECISD E-Sports Program is a popular year-long program offered to students at elementary, middle, and high school levels. E-Sports provides opportunities for students to develop critical-thinking skills, strategy, team collaboration and opportunity for advancement through participation in age-appropriate games that include Mario Kart, Super smash Brothers and for high school, rocket league or other online gaming platforms. Participants will develop a plan for recruitment, holding practices, materials needed and a calendar of activities to plan out the E-Sports year. Participants will hear from presenters and coaches on best practices and how to host their own e-sports tournaments. Opportunity to connect with Region One and UTRGV will be provided. Sponsors will be provided with a step-by-step process of creating web travels and PO requisitions as well as how to develop an expenditure ledger for provided e-sports accounts.
