How to Host a UIL Tournament

ECISD offers students an opportunity to extend on the skills and concepts learned during the day through UIL Academics and TMSCA competitions. This session will provide an overview of rules and regulations set by UIL for UIL competitions. 2024-2025 elementary, middle, and high school district hosting ASP Coordinators and Assistant Coordinators will become familiar with how to run their district meets and specific UIL events in their school level, including all writing and speaking events. Participants will also develop a planning calendar for UIL district meets and/or invitational meets, secure registration of schools and needed materials for competitions, and review the how to host UIL competition manual for all other participating schools.
