FNP: Summer Workshop Day 2-School Nutrition Frontline Specialist 2.0- (6hrs)

This comprehensive program delves deeper into the roles and responsibilities of frontline staff such as (1) applying basic kitchen math skills to effectively measure, convert, and scale recipes; (2) Understand the importance of documentation and completing Food Production Records (FPR) accurately; (3) Identifying Reimbursable Meals and Offer vs. Serve (OVS) requirements; (4) Describe the key elements of meal appeal; (5) Implementation of kitchen safety, sanitation, and special dietary needs; (6) Practice effective communication strategies for collaborating with colleagues.

Managers, Assistant Managers, Front-line staff with 5 or more years of school nutrition experience. New front-line specialists are encouraged to complete the 1.0 introductory course before advancing to the 2.0 course.
