Access Starts Here: Aligning PLAAFPs and Goals for Students with Significant Cognitive Disabilities - Secondary (Mercedes ISD Only)

Complete Attendance not available before workshop starts.

Creating a high-quality IEP starts with knowing your students deeply and writing with intention. In this workshop, special education teachers will learn how to develop clear, individualized PLAAFPs that accurately reflect student strengths and needs. Participants will explore how to craft measurable annual goals and short-term objectives that are aligned to prerequisite and foundational skills. Using the IEP Quality and Rigor Rubric as a guide, this session will provide practical tools, examples, and collaborative opportunities to ensure every IEP is built for access, growth, and student success especially for learners with the most significant cognitive needs.
