Workshop Registration Details

The A,B,C's of a Full and Individual Evaluation Presented by Rosario Nava

Complete Attendance not available before workshop starts.

Each public agency must conduct a full and individual evaluation (FIE) before the initial provision of special education and related services to a child with a disability under this part 34 CFR 300.301(a). The initial evaluation must consist of procedures to determine if the child is a child with a disability and to determine the educational needs of the child 34 CFR 300.301(c)(2). Participants will learn how a comprehensive evaluation requires the collaboration of a multi-disciplinary evaluation team. Participants will identify the essential elements of a FIE to include the drafting of appropriate impact and needs statements to drive unique instructional and/or functional recommendations.

Participants must have an email attached to an LEA to participate with no fee. Individuals who register for this training without an LEA attached will require a $35.00 charge. The charge is due by Jan. 24, 2024. If you have any questions or concerns do not hesitate to contact Rosario Nava at 956-984-6264 or Cynthia Luna at 956-984-6142.
