The A,B,C's of a Full and Individual Evaluation (LAREDO EXTENSION OFFICE)

Each public agency must conduct a full and individual evaluation (FIE) before the initial provision of special education and related services to a child with a disability under this part 34 CFR 300.301(a). The initial evaluation must consist of procedures to determine if the child is a child with a disability and to determine the educational needs of the child 34 CFR 300.301(c)(2). Participants will learn how a comprehensive evaluation requires the collaboration of a multi-disciplinary evaluation team. Participants will identify the essential elements of a FIE to include the drafting of appropriate impact and needs statements to drive unique instructional and/or functional recommendations. #identificationSPED
