Workshop Registration Details


Using Skills and Developing Civic Knowledge (grades 9-12)

In this session, participants will engage in literacy activities using the new (TEKS) social studies skills while experiencing components of strong instructional practices (Knowledge Coherence, Evidence Based Responses, Multiple Perspectives, and Text Complexity). These research-based activities will help all students retain information, reinforce vocabulary development, improve comprehension, and build background knowledge. Cross curricular connections will be addressed to support the integration of literacy with social studies content.
