RLA Writing Series: A Framework for Integrating Reading and Writing Grades 6-12 (DAY 1)

In this session, participants will learn how they can leverage meaningful classroom discourse around text-based questions when preparing students to write responses to texts. We will investigate the question how we can lead students from "conversation to composition" and how engaging in structured classroom talk can build a strong foundation for effective written responses.
This session is Day 1 of a four-day writing series. The remaining three sessions will take place on 10/25/2023 (WS# 285551), 11/29/2023 (WS# 285558), 01/18/2024 (WS# 285561). These sessions are stand-alone workshops. Participants do NOT have to register for the complete series.
