GEAR UP CoRE English I Teacher Academy - 2019

The Region One ESC GEAR UP Partnership grants will host the 2019 CoRE Teacher Academy sessions for 8th grade English I teachers at GEAR UP campuses. Working with Region One ESC Curriculum & Instruction Education Specialists, teachers will gain expertise with interactive strategies that are effective in teaching core content concepts in a more fluid and automatic way to maximize student achievement. This GEAR UP content area support initiative includes identifying and applying instructional practices that aid in the development of critical thinking skills through quality questioning, formative assessment, cooperative grouping strategies, and creating a technology-rich, rigorous classroom environment.(The Region One ESC GEAR UP Partnership grants will host the 2019 CoRE Teacher Academy sessions for 8th grade Science teachers at GEAR UP campuses.
