Differential Diagnosis of ED and SM
This session will discuss differential diagnosis when considering eligibility for emotional disturbance (ED). The federal and state guidelines for the ED eligibility criteria have been criticized for being too broad and too general. This session will include a discussion, particularly for LSSP’s, in deciphering the ED criteria and how it may compare to DSM-5 diagnostic categories, as well as differentiating between ED and social maladjustment.
