Executive Functioning Skills Which Support Young Children's Brain Development

This session will review what executive functioning is and how it supports academic learning in young children. Participants will discuss strategies which support the development of executive functioning skills or the mental processes that assist us in planning, focusing attention and remember instructions for learning in the classroom. These skills are crucial for all individuals in learning and development which also assist with enabling positive behavior and understanding how to regulate ourselves in different social contexts. Teachers come and discover how to assist your students in developing skills which they are not born with but have the potential to develop.
