Nonviolent Crisis Intervention Foundation Course (CPI)- Units 1-7 & 10
This is a 6 hour virtual course. This workshop will teach participants how to identify the different crisis development stages and appropriate staff responses. Participants will also learn strategies for dealing with an individual in crisis using verbal techniques. This is an initial training for participants who have not been previously certified, or previously participated in the enhanced version, or who's certification is expired. Participants must attend session in full in order to be certified for units 1-7 & 10. PLEASE NOTE: This training will not include units 8 and 9 - Physical Intervention. The units on physical intervention will be scheduled at a later face to face date. Registered participants will be mailed a workbook 1-2 days prior to the date of the workshop.The date for the training will be June 9, 2020 from 9am to 12 pm and 1pm to 4 pm. Registered participants will be sent a link prior to the date of training. This training is for current public school/charter school personnel in Region One ESC only (Participants outside of Region One will be assessed a $75 fee.)
Special education teachers, general education teachers, administrators, paraprofessionals, counselors, members of campus crisis teams.
Workshop Fee will be charged to those who fail to show for a workshop.
To avoid the charge, Staff Development contacts for this workshop must be notified in writing at least 3 business days prior to workshop date.
