Lets ‘Make & Take’: No-Tech And Low-Tech Assistive Technology For Students Needing An Alternative Voice

Participants will gain a better understanding on assessing student’s communication needs at the earliest engagement levels. The participants will make 2 adaptations to communication tools needed for individuals with multiple disabilities to learn communication skills. We will also explore tools to facilitate communication for students with significant disabilities and complex communication needs (CCN) to communicate symbolically with a variety of people for a variety of purposes.
