Active Learning emphasizes that all individuals learn best through active participation. Active Learning can be used with many individuals but it is especially beneficial for learners who are: blind and visually impaired, Deaf-Blind, individuals who function at the 0-48 month level developmentally - no matter what their chronological age - and for individuals who experience global delays in physical, cognitive, social, and emotional development. Active Learning was developed by Dr. Lilli Nielsen of Denmark.
