What is Grammar?: Its role in the ESL Content Areas

July 29, 2020. (9:00 am - 11:00 am) We will cover the basics of grammar and how to address them when bilingual students are taught Math, Science and Social Studies in English. Will look at linguistic concepts and practical techniques that content areas can easily implement into their content area instruction without deviating from their assigned TEKS. Participants will gain awareness of what grammar is and how it impacts communication. In other words, using language to impact content area learning.
(Using a laptop or desktop is recommended for this session.)
