Assistive Technology 101: What are we missing?

Students with Special needs use a variety of Assistive Technology (AT) supports and services to increase, maintain, or improve their functional capabilities. Do you know which students use AT? Participants will gain a better understanding on assessing student’s needs for assistive technologies. This session focuses on identifying the critical issues and actions to influence the provision of AT devices and services for program improvement. Let us explore the legal, ethical and practical reasons for providing high-quality Assistive Technology to students. We will review procedures for AT support: Legal Issues in Assistive Technology (AT) & Considering AT in the IEP and Documenting AT in the IEP
