Emotional Disorders: What’s a school to do?

The educational impacts of common social-emotional disorders (e.g., Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Major Depressive Disorder) are often misunderstood and overlooked in school-aged children. These conditions often impair cognitive functions such as impulse control, attention, executive functioning, and processing speed. This program will introduce audience members to some of the most commonly diagnosed social-emotional disorders in school-aged children, and provide practical strategies and techniques that can be implemented right away to address some of the greatest challenges seen in today’s classrooms.
