Allows participants the opportunity to analyze the historical, legal and conceptual understandings of gifted education. The social and emotional
characteristics of the gifted student will also be examined. Teachers will demonstrate an understanding of the characteristics and behaviors
of gifted learners that is the basis for developing programs that meet their needs.
