Region One ESC offers expert assistance, information updates and high-quality training to support counselors, social workers, and other school staff members designated to ensure the mental health and wellness of the children in Region One ESC. This session will explore the understanding of how children grieve differently from adults, identify key differences between bereaved youth at different developmental stages, and discuss typical cultural responses to grief as well as learn how to offer compassionate companionship.

Social media platforms are an integral part of many people’s lives, and using social media is an exceptional way to stay connected and access information. But along with social media's many benefits come some challenges. THis session will explore the risks and benefits of media safety and delve into resources available to provide guidelines to encourage responsible, safe use of technology and social media.
