Texas Teacher Evaluation and Support System (T-TESS; 3 Day Training)
The purpose of T-TESS is to improve planning, instruction, the learning environment, and professional practices and responsibilities so that the refinement of each teacher’s craft leads to improved student performance. Administrators, teacher leaders, and district personnel are eligible to serve as qualified appraisers. All designated appraisers must participate in this 3-day required certification training and demonstrate proficiency in the observation process by successfully completing an online certification test through the Teach for Texas portal. ILD or AEL is a "co-requisite" for teacher appraisal. Please call (956) 984-662 if you have questions or would still like to register if the workshop is closed. Payment methods will be accepted by credit card or purchase order. *Please email the district purchase order directly to email@example.com . Self Paying participants will pay by credit card on-line. No Cash Accepted. Please note this training is for appraisal certification and if any part of this training is missed, you will need to reschedule for another training date, therefore, be ready to begin promptly at 8:30 a.m.
The T-TESS training is best if received Face to Face. Please make your best attempt to register for a Face to Face session. If this is not possible, this Virtual Session is an option, but keep the following in mind:
You will need:
1. Printed copies of the session material (the material will be emailed a week in advance)
2. Workspace where you will be uninterrupted and alternate seating/standing options if possible
3. Notepad/sticky notes/highlighters/pen (your choice)
4. Laptop or desktop computer (a tablet or phone will not allow the level of interaction required)
5. Strong internet connection (must-have!)
