Day 1: The session will cover an introduction to RBIs, how the collective learning series will progress, an introduction to The Opportunity Myth, and the goals.
This session will cover how to pursue rigor by balancing conceptual understanding, procedural skills, and fluency. Math content that aligns to and meets the rigor of TEKS for each grade level while concentrating time and effort on going deep on the most important topics and connecting concepts within and across grades along with the strategic progression of learning.
Day 2: The session will cover the importance of students engaging in productive problem solving, engaging in multiple opportunities for practice, discussion, representations, and writing that require them to explain and revise their thinking, leverage HQM and bettered assessments to drive instruction, and internalize the HQIM implementation of RBIS and explore conditions for HQIM launch implementation.
