Counselor Support Workshop - Empowering Counselors & School Based Mental Health Providers Series: Insights into Key Issues Impacting Students

This Workshop is Day One of a Two Part Series: In the A.M. Maurine Molak, Co-Founder of David's Legacy will guide participants through resources found in the Creative Coping Toolkit, a film and evidence based mental health literacy program. Tips on how to safely build strong connections, foster good communication and encourage digital wellness for the entire school community will also be provided. During the P.M. Session, Dr. Erica Perez will cover Implementing Mitigation Techniques to Reduce the School to Prison Pipeline with Juvenile Justice Involved Youth. This training will empower attendees with tools and skills on how to address the needs and planning for students who have been detained or incarcerated as they reintegrate back into the school setting.
