Transition 101

Complete Attendance not available before workshop starts.

This session provides the basics of the legal requirements for Transition, and recommendations for the Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) committee to consider and, if appropriate, address 10 areas of transition no later than when the student turns 14, or earlier as appropriate. This creates a pathway of Transition services to assist the student in reaching their postsecondary goals. With so much to navigate, participants will learn the difference between annual and transition goals, with a concentration in the three areas for post-secondary goals of training/education, employment, and independent living skills, as well as learn about age-appropriate transition assessments.
