Introducing Pivotal U.S. Elections; A resource webinar from Humanities Texas

This webinar introducing social studies teachers to the recently released Pivotal U.S. Elections, a new high school-level curriculum set that examines the political forces, issues, and consequences of critical presidential elections in U.S. history and their relevance to current conditions of our national life.
This interactive session will model two of the lessons from the set, exploring how the curriculum can be adapted for use in a variety of ways and supports students' development in the areas of reading, writing, and historical thinking skills. Led by Humanities Texas education staff, the webinar will also provide an overview of all Humanities Texas educational resources and will emphasize development of effective pedagogical strategies and engaging assignments.
