White Cane Safety Day Awareness Event

This event will celebrate White Cane Safety Day Awareness with students, teachers, parents, and members of the community. October 15, was established in 1964 by President Lyndon B. Johnson in an effort to raise awareness of people who carry a white cane. We will celebrate White Cane Safety Day with various activities including a walk using a white cane under blindfold, painting under blindfold, Braille Loteria, Yoga, and other games and activities. This event will have a "Fall" theme: "Apples, Pumpkins, and Bales of Hay...Come Celebrate White Cane Safety Day!"
