Transition 101

Transition creates a pathway of Transition services to assist the student in reaching their postsecondary goals. With so much to navigate, participants in this small group, in-person training will learn the difference between annual and transition goals, with a concentration in the three areas for post-secondary goals of training/education, employment, and independent living skills, as well as learn about age-appropriate transition assessments and a coordinated set of activities. In this three-part session, the presenter covers Transition Assessments, A Coordinated Set of Activities, and Writing Appropriate, Measurable Postsecondary Goals. Participants will use the resources provided in order to take action toward improving practices and enhancing postsecondary outcomes for students, and provide samples for coaching and mentoring.#TRANSITIONESC1
