Supporting Students with Dyslexia: Explicit Instruction [TIER] - Virtual

Complete Attendance not available before workshop starts.

Explicit instruction is an evidence-based framework with a long history of success in increasing student learning. This instructional approach works particularly well for students who need intervention; it is an efficient, learner-friendly tool for mastering a given skill. However, the benefits of explicit instruction techniques are not limited to students who need intensive support. In this session, we will describe what explicit instruction is, its framework, and how it supports student learning. Participants will also learn the features of effective teacher modeling and student practice to be able to identify these and other elements of explicit instruction.
