Orientation and Mobility Evaluation & Eligibility - A Whole Child Approach for Students with Visual Impairments

Complete Attendance not available before workshop starts.

Determining O&M evaluation and Eligibility for Students with Visual Impairments can be challenging. This workshop will look at the various aspects of evaluation and determining the needs for O&M Services for our students with visual impairments. COMS are engaged in a comprehensive approach to orientation & mobility addressing nonvisual, visual, physical, cognitive, and psycho-social aspects related to mobility training for individuals of all ages, as well as diverse needs and abilities. By looking at the whole child, we can better determine the need for Specially Designed Instruction in the area of Orientation and Mobility for our Students who are Visually Impaired, Blind, or Deafblind.
