Culturally and Linguistically Responsive Practices (CLRP) in Academic Instruction and Behavior Intervention

Participants will explore how to incorporate CLRP within academic instruction; consider practices in assessment and instruction that optimize MTSS for culturally and linguistically diverse students; discuss CLRP considerations for reading, writing and math instruction; and Identify difficult features of the English language. Additionally, participants will discuss culturally and linguistically responsive considerations for behavior interventions in a multi-tiered system of supports framework; explore implicit bias and how it affects the way we see behavior problems in our schools; and draw connections between restorative practices and CLRP.
