Preschool Positive Behavioral Intervention and Support (PBIS) Framework

The Pyramid Model Consortium will provide a 3-day workshop series on a PBIS framework for preschool students. Module 1: Nurturing and Responsive Relationships emphasizes the importance of establishing caring relationships within the classroom as a foundational element of the Pyramid Model. Module 2: High-Quality, Supportive Environments, provides strategies for creating supportive classroom settings that promote social-emotional skill development and help prevent challenging behavior. Module 3: module, Teaching Social-Emotional Skills, focuses on practices for promoting social-emotional development, including teaching friendship skills, emotional literacy, self-regulation, and problem-solving. Module 4: Individualized Teaching of Social-Emotional Skills, practitioners learn how to tailor instruction for children who require targeted support in their social-emotional learning. Module 5: Addressing Challenging Behavior, offers guidance on understanding and responding to challenging behaviors, recognizing bias in responses, de-escalating situations, and developing behavior support plans for children with persistent challenges. Together, these modules provide comprehensive resources for educators and practitioners working with young children.

This session is open only to current Region One LEA or Charter School Staff. All participants must have a district or charter school email.
