Data-Based Individualization: The What and How from the National Center on Intensive Intervention

Complete Attendance not available before workshop starts.

In this workshop, participants will learn about the data-based individualization (DBI) process. DBI is a research-based process for individualizing and intensifying interventions through the systematic use of assessment data, validated interventions, and research-based adaptation strategies. DBI can provide a process for intervention (e.g., tiers 2 and 3) and can be used as the process for providing specially designed instruction(SDI), making this an ideal workshop for general and special educators alike.
During the workshop, participants will learn about:
• The five-step DBI process;
• Data systems to support DBI including progress monitoring and diagnostic data;
• The taxonomy of intervention intensity as a tool to support individualization; and
• Resources to support and sustain DBI.
