In this professional development session, "Tech for All: Creating Inclusive Social Studies Experiences for Special Education and Bilingual Students," participants will explore educational technology tools such as Kami for interactive document modifications, Padlet for differentiated collaborative learning, Nearpod for engaging, interactive lessons, and ChatGPT for generating accessible content and language support. Additionally, we'll delve into extensions and tools specifically designed to accommodate SPED and EB students, ensuring that social studies content is both engaging and accessible to all learners. By the end of this session, educators will be equipped with practical strategies to adapt their social studies instruction, making it more inclusive, interactive, and aligned with TEKS standards.

PM: In this session, educators will discover how to transform traditional social studies lessons into exciting, game-based learning experiences using popular gamification apps like Nearpod, Gimkit, and Blooket, among others. We’ll explore strategies to boost student engagement and motivation by incorporating interactive quizzes, live competitions, and collaborative games into your teaching. By the end of the session, teachers will be equipped to seamlessly integrate these tools into their lessons, making learning both fun and impactful for students
