This session utilizes the synchronous SB IEP Process training course in-person in conjunction with facilitated sessions designed to extend your learning and understanding of the content in the course.

Participants will complete the two-day course followed by the opportunity to participate in module-specific sessions to discuss the content and apply what was learned.

For each module content session, participants will have a focused discussion about each module by:
Reviewing the key concepts,
Expanding their learning through extension activities,
Discussing common questions, and
Making connections to LEA special education operating procedures, processes, and/or forms.

As a result of this session, participants will be able to:
Describe the data collection process for the full and individual evaluation (FIE).
Write the student’s present levels of academic achievement and functional performance (PLAAFP) statement.
Draft measurable annual goals with short-term objectives/benchmarks, if appropriate.
Create a data collection system for monitoring the progress of the annual goals.
