Laying the Groundwork: Developing Phonological Skills for Literacy Success
Phonological awareness equips students with essential foundational skills for successful literacy development. In this session, participants will explore how these skills evolve over time and gain practical experience through engaging phonological awareness activities designed to support young learners in building early literacy competencies.

Cultivating Young Writers
Nurture a love for writing in your classroom with Cultivating Young Writers—a training designed to help educators support and inspire emerging authors. This session explores developmentally appropriate strategies to encourage young children as they express their thoughts, ideas, and stories through writing. Participants will learn how to create a print-rich environment, implement mini-lessons, provide meaningful writing opportunities, and guide students through the writing process with confidence. From drawing and dictation to independent writing, educators will leave with practical tools and techniques to build foundational skills and foster creativity in early writers.
