College Entrance Exam Essentials (ACT/SAT): A Teacher’s Guide

Full-day professional learning experience designed for Math and ELAR teachers who play a key role in preparing students for college entrance exams.
Participants will gain:
An overview of ACT and SAT structures, scoring, and tested content.
Practical classroom activities and test-taking strategies aligned to both exams.
Guidance on embedding college readiness skills into existing instruction.
Opportunities to collaborate with peers and plan for immediate implementation.

By the end of the day, educators will leave with a toolkit of strategies, resources, and activities that strengthen student confidence and performance on the ACT and SAT.

This workshop is designed for secondary ELAR and Math teachers, interventionists, instructional coaches, and counselors who support students in preparing for the ACT and SAT. Participants should have an interest in strengthening their understanding of exam structures, strategies, and classroom applications that build student readiness and performance.
