Tools for TVIs Book Study: Part 4 – Serving Learners with Multiple Disabilities

Complete Attendance not available before workshop starts.

In this next session of our Tools for TVIs book study, we’ll focus on the unique and complex needs of learners with both visual impairments and additional disabilities. Chapter content and discussion will explore how to design meaningful instruction, build collaborative routines, and adapt the Expanded Core Curriculum (ECC) for students with significant cognitive, physical, and communication challenges. Participants will examine practical strategies for accessing learning through multisensory experiences, partnering with related service providers, and advocating for appropriate supports and service time. This session is especially relevant for TSVIs and O&M specialists working with students who are nonverbal, medically fragile, or require intensive supports, and who deserve instruction that honors their abilities, preferences, and potential. #VIESC1
