This session will walk participants through a case study on conducting the Review of Existing Evaluation Data (REED) process as part of determining the need for a Full and Individual Evaluation (FIIE). Through the case example, participants will learn how to gather and analyze existing data, identify areas of suspected disability, and document the REED process to ensure compliance with state and federal requirements. Emphasis will be placed on using the REED to support the informed consent process with parents, ensuring that evaluation decisions are clearly explained, culturally responsive, and legally bound. Participants will leave with practical strategies for engaging parents as partners in the process and aligning evaluation practices with best-practice standard. #identificationESC1
