Essential Questions and College Readiness in the ELAR Classroom

Empower your students to think deeply, connect learning to their futures, and prepare for life after high school. In this interactive workshop, participants will explore how to design and use essential questions that spark curiosity, promote critical reading and writing, and guide students toward college and career readiness. Educators will learn how to align essential questions with ELAR standards and college readiness skills such as analysis, argumentation, and evidence-based writing. Walk away with practical strategies, adaptable question stems, and classroom-ready activities that help students develop the academic confidence and higher-order thinking necessary for postsecondary success.
