Effective Advising Framework- CTE Meeting Share Out

Complete Attendance not available before workshop starts.

The Effective Advising Framework (EAF), an initiative by the Texas Education Agency (TEA), assists districts and schools in designing and implementing a postsecondary advising system as part of their comprehensive school counseling programs. This session will offer an overview of the framework and provide updates on the timeline for statewide implementation. The EAF is designed to empower students to engage in individualized career and academic planning, while equipping educators with the knowledge, resources, and time necessary to support students in their postsecondary preparation. Effective advising integrates internal and external partners, along with high-quality materials and assessments, to enhance students' postsecondary planning and readiness. Aligned with both the Effective Schools Framework (ESF) and the Effective District Framework (EDF), the EAF supports districts in systematically improving their individual planning systems. By focusing on district commitments, levers, essential actions, and key practices, the framework helps develop a unified vision and actionable goals, ultimately leading to greater system effectiveness and improved student outcomes.
