Reading by Design: An ARD Support Guide for Evaluation Professionals (Edcouch-Elsa ISD ONLY)

Join us for a comprehensive one-hour overview of Reading by Design, a structured literacy intervention program designed specifically for students with dyslexia and reading disabilities. This training will equip evaluation staff with the knowledge and language needed to confidently discuss the program during ARD meetings and answer parent and team member questions.

Participants will learn:
• What Reading by Design is and its evidence-based foundation in the Science of Reading
• How the program's 5-volume structure systematically builds literacy skills from foundational to advanced
• The integrated lesson components that make the program effective for struggling readers
• Built-in progress monitoring and assessment tools used to track student growth
• How to speak knowledgeably about the program during ARD meetings and evaluations
• Ready-to-use responses for common questions from parents and team members
• What documentation to bring to ARDs and how to write goals aligned with the program
