Texas Principal Evaluation & Support System (T-PESS Orientation; 1 Day)

Complete Attendance not available before workshop starts.

The T-PESS Orientation is for principals and assistant principals who will be appraised using the Texas Principal Evaluation and Support System (T-PESS) rubric. This session is designed for campus leaders who are new to the district and/or new to the T-PESS process. Participants will gain a clear understanding of the Texas Principal Standards and how they align with the T-PESS rubric. The orientation provides concise and accurate guidance on evaluation criteria, including the specific actions embedded within the rubric. In addition, the training outlines roles and responsibilities within the evaluation process, reviews required materials and forms and communicates key timelines for completion of all appraisal components. Participants will also receive information regarding applicable regulations and policies that govern principal evaluations, as well as how performance will be measured. By the end of the session, campus leaders will have a comprehensive understanding of the T-PESS process, ensuring they are prepared to successfully navigate their evaluation with clarity and confidence.
