Complete Attendance not available before workshop starts.

This training is focused on fentanyl awareness and education for school staff and teachers.

Fentanyl Education training program equips school staff with essential knowledge and skills to recognize and respond to opioid overdoses, including fentanyl-related incidents, in the school setting. Participants will learn to:
• Identify the signs and symptoms of an opioid-related overdose.
• Administer an opioid antagonist (e.g., naloxone/Narcan).
• Implement emergency procedures when responding to an overdose.
• Properly store and dispose of opioid antagonists.

Training & toolkit supports Texas schools and school districts in implementing evidence-based opioid overdose prevention, response strategies, and facilitates adherence to Texas Administrative Code § 40.86 and Texas Education Code § 38.221–5.

This training satisfies the requirements of the mandatory naloxone administration training (TEC § 38.222). Training provided in alignment with Fentanyl Contamination Education Grant. It is NOT intended to serve as a training on educating students about fentanyl;
