**THIS COURSE REQUIRES PRE-WORK**
In CPI Nonviolent Crisis Intervention® Training, participants complete online training prior to attending the in-person classroom training that introduces the basic concepts of Nonviolent Crisis Intervention® Training using examples and scenarios. Engaging video-based case scenarios present and explain the Crisis Development Model? and Verbal Escalation Continuum?. During the in-person classroom training, with the foundational knowledge already in place, participants discuss how to apply models and techniques learned and practice those skills. The classroom training is also where learners learn and safely practice safety intervention strategies to maximize safety and minimize harm. Upon completing both the online and classroom training, participants receive a Blue Card confirmation. Partial credit will not be provided.
**This workshop is for staff currently employed in a public school or charter school in the Region One area only. Please ensure your profile is updated with your current District/Campus information and email. Participants not associated with a Region One LEA or Charter School will be dropped from the course.**
